What we collect

• Email address (account + authentication)
• Password hash (we never store your raw password)
• Session cookies (httpOnly) for authentication
• Minimal security metadata (e.g., IP/user-agent) to protect the service
• The text you submit, generated results, chosen tool, creation time, saved bookmarks and checklist progress, so you can reopen your history on your signed-in devices
• Your colour and motion preferences in device storage, and your chosen language in a first-party cookie in this browser
• Basic product event names and times in service logs, plus daily event totals retained on our own servers for up to 90 days. These events contain no submitted content, email address or persistent analytics identifier.

Anonymous event names and campaign labels are also sent from our server to PostHog in the United States for reporting. No customer content, IP address or visitor identifier is sent. Person profiles and session replay are disabled.

Free preview

The anonymous preview sends your text to OpenAI to generate your result. It is not saved in Figgi account history. A necessary signed cookie and expiring security counters limit preview use for up to one day. Copy your result before leaving; we cannot recover an anonymous preview.

What we don’t do

• No sale of personal data
• No third-party advertising trackers

AI processing

The text and images you submit for an AI result are sent to OpenAI to generate that result. Images are resized in your browser before submission. Figgi does not save the image itself in your account history; the text you enter and the resulting AI response are stored. A response may include details read from an image. Only submit content you are comfortable sharing for this purpose. Outputs may be imperfect; review them before acting or sending a reply.

History, deletion and sharing

Your history is available through your signed-in account. Deleting a result removes its submitted text and generated response from the active account history. A record of the use and its time remains to enforce the free-use allowance. Copies you export or share are separate, and database backups or service-provider retention may outlast deletion from active history.

Sharing a takeaway opens a review step. Only the text you approve and a link to Figgi are handed to your device’s share function or clipboard. Figgi does not create a public page of your private result. Public example pages contain illustrative scenarios written for the website.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Figgi does not collect your full payment card details.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, or portability by contacting support@startsimple.cc. You can also delete your account in-app (where available) or by request.

Security

We use industry standard safeguards including httpOnly cookies, short-lived sessions, rate limiting on auth endpoints, and a nonce-based Content Security Policy.
